The 120 bed nursing home was owned by the Heartland Manor Care corporate chain and recently sold to Sovereign Healthcare. During Ms. Humbert’s residency at ManorCare Carrollwood, she suffered multiple facility falls and the development of pressure sores. It is alleged these injuries contributed to her passing away.
Estate of Calderoni v. ManorCare Carrollwood
Ms. Calderoni was admitted into the Tampa Manor Care facility for supervision and assistance. Unfortunately, it is alleged she was neglected by facility staff. As a result, she developed skin breakdown, pressure ulcers, infections, weight gain and facial swelling.
Estate of Elizabeth Knippel v. Manor Care of Carrollwood
Elizabeth became a resident at Manor Care Carrollwood following a surgery. Due to alleged negligence, her surgical wounds were not kept clean. As a result, she developed a significant infection in her surgical wound which required antibiotic therapy. The infection allegedly caused her wrongful death.

Additionally, Northdale Rehabilitation Center was cited for failing to provide enough food and fluids to maintain a resident’s health.
