Edith Pandiella-Padron filed a suit against West Bay of Tampa. The allegations include improper physical therapy by improperly flexing the right knee of Ms. Edith Pandiella-Padron despite her repeated requests to stop and failure of the nursing staff to timely notify the physician of Ms. Pandiella-Padron regarding her injury.
Case 2 – Elsa Rivers vs. Tampa Road, LLC d/b/a West Bay of Tampa and West Bay Nursing Center LLC
Elsa Rivers filed a case against West Bay of Tampa on behalf of her husband, Mr. William Rivers. The allegations mainly include neglect and failure of the facility to provide adequate and appropriate health care services for Mr. Rivers. There is an alleged failure of the nursing staff of West Bay of Tampa to provide proper medication and attention to the left toe of Mr. Rivers which led to a gangrenous wound on Mr. Rivers’ left second toe. After the onset of the wound, the facility allegedly failed to properly treat it which caused the progression of the said wound. This neglect of the facility led to the pain and suffering of Mr. Rivers.

An unannounced survey was conducted last August 18, 2017 at West Bay of Tampa and the facility was found to be not compliant with 42 CFR Part 483. Based on the survey, the facility has been found to have violations of standard practices concerning cross-contamination of applicable medical apparatus that are used by multiple patients.
