Lawsuit and Trial Against Majestic Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
It was alleged by the Plaintiff that Majestic Oaks and Warminster Health Care neglected Walter Lisowski while he was a resident at the facility. Due to the resident neglect, it was alleged that Mr. Lisowski developed gangrene and bedsores.
Due to his underlying ailments, Mr. Lisowski underwent surgery for his gangrene and pressure ulcers. He did not recover and ultimately passed away. He was only 69 years of age when he passed away.
The Aftermath of Mr. Lisowski’s Passing
Walter’s estate brought litigation against the Pennsylvania nursing home alleging that his poor care resulted in serious injury and his wrongful death. The estate contended that the decedent’s injuries were brought about because the facility failed to have proper preventative measures in place to stop Walter’s skin breakdown and gangrene. The nursing home denied all the allegations.
The Plaintiff Won its Case Against the Pennsylvania Nursing Home
The case resolved in favor of the Plaintiff for $60,000 on or around September 26, 2014. The case number was 2013-08179 and the case was filed in the Seventh Judicial Circuit of the Court of Common Pleas of Pennsylvania, in Bucks County, PA. The style of the case was THE ESTATE OF WALTER LISOWSKI vs. SENIOR MANAGEMENT NORTH INC. D/B/A MAJESTIC OAKS AND WARMINSTER HEALTH CARE.
