Negligent Security Lawsuit in Boca Raton
Recently, Senior Justice Law Firm client Denis Duddy’s harrowing story was featured on the local Palm Beach affiliate of NBC news. Mr. Duddy resides in the Whitehall condo building in southeast Boca Raton. The luxury condominium is on the sands of the beach and A1A, south of Palmetto Park Road. Mr. Duddy payed a premium price to purchase the penthouse unit (1 of 2 units on the top floor of the building), partially because he wanted to feel safe in a 24 hour manned security locked building. Residents at Whitehall also pay high HOA/maintenance fees to cover, in part, 24 hour security in the lobby of the building.

Negligent Security Case Facts
Shockingly, a naked 18 year-old high on LSD was able to break into the building garage, then get into the lobby, then the elevator shaft and finally up to the penthouse floor. The nude man on drugs then kicked in Denis’ door. Luckily, Denis’ girlfriend escaped, but the intruder beat Denis over the head with a vase and an end table, causing a brain injury. Our law firm is currently investigating how this horrible tragedy may have been prevented through appropriate security measures. Our initial investigation reveals that this sequence of events took place over at least a 30 minute window of time. In investigating this potential negligent security lawsuit, we will look to determine whether the building staff member’s actions were reasonable.
