Based on the facility’s policies and procedures, staff failed to ensure the resident was protected from potential burns by not ensuring that they wear a protective smoking apron during the activity.
November 6th, 2020, Inspection at Tarpon Bayou Center
Based on observations, interviews, and record reviews, this inspection failed to ensure that two of their residents were not provided their splints to prevent further limb contractures. Both residents are dependent on staff for total care. Splints are applied in order to maintain or prevent a loss of range of motion (ROM).
